The nursery: Before and in progress

Below are before and in progress photos of the nursery (nowhere near finished yet).

The nursery was lavender before, so we most definitely had to paint. We still have a long way to go, but are thrilled we got the cribs assembled, painting done, and curtains made/hung. Thanks a million to mom for doing most of the work (painting and curtains). She definitely has skill sets that we do not.

Crib assembly (x3) is no joke!
Crib assembly (plus huge belly at 19 weeks)
Sewing the beautiful curtains!
Wrigs did not help at all,...
so I made him model the the baby gear.
which he did NOT love!
He is apparently interested in feeding the babies though,
since he loves sitting inside the nursing pillow.

In progress (it's not easy making 3 cribs fit in a small bedroom
or getting a picture of them all in said bedroom)

It's hard to tell how pretty the fabric is from the picture, so here is a sample.

Now the fun parts begins. Time to decorate. We’re not sharing the theme just yet (and no, it’s not Disney despite the vintage animals in the pictures), but it is going to be fun!

19 Week Update

Bump: This week I had two strangers tell me I looked about ready to pop. I don't think I look that big. Then today, I was out at three schools and every secretary told me how sorry she was the classroom I needed to see was in the back of the building or upstairs and gave me directions to the elevator, so I guess I look bigger or worse off than I thought :-)

Cravings: None, but I've wanted really specific foods at each meal, so maybe that is a craving.

Symptoms: I feel like a walking add for that Pepto Bismol jingle - "Nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea."  Also, I would not be surprised if at any minute my belly button ripped open. It hasn't popped out yet, but that is what the skin feels like no matter how much cocoa butter or oil I put on it.  If this keeps up, Elizabeth will get her wish and I will be covered in saran wrap like Kate Goslin.

Activities: Classes are in full swing and Jay has had a really busy work week (big pitch on Thursday morning), but the major activity has been the nursery. Mom came up late Wednesday night. Friday night, we took a break for dinner (pics below). Lots of pictures to come of before and in progress.

Our New (to us) House!

Well this weekend is all about getting the nursery started. Mom is in town to paint the bedroom, our chest, and our changing table. She brought our cribs and Dad and Tracy sent out crib mattresses. If we can get the painting done and cribs assembled we'll have a place to put shower gifts. Yay!

All that has prompted us to get the rest of the house in order before we start this new project, so here are pics of our new place. While we still miss our condo (Jay especially), we are definitely feeling settled and more baby ready now that we are back in a house.
