Feeling Nostalgic

Feeling a little nostalgic this week as we get ready to leave the condo where our babies were “conceived” and into the house where we will bring them home. This new house will be our fifth home as a family (us and Wrigsman). Jay claims to have lived in 21 places (I hope he isn’t counting sleepovers with ex-girlfriends) in his lifetime and I have lived in 14. Needless to say, we are pretty good at packing and moving, but this move is definitely different. Number one, because I can barely lift anything and get tired after packing two boxes. Number two, because we are moving into a home where we will bring home three babies. This is both exciting and terrifying, and makes me thankful for the life and marriage that Jay and I have been able to experience together thus far.

We will really miss our condo in Downtown Greenville, where we can walk to tons of restaurants, shops, and the park. Most importantly, where Jay can walk to work. We will also really miss our baseball patio. Below is a video montage of pictures of us enjoying the patio and a recording of the announcer reading Jay’s email to him on our last night in the condo.

Week 14 Update

Bump: See below! I think I look about 5-6 months pregnant, but I’ve checked online and I seem to be on progress with other triplet moms at 14 weeks. Whoa!

Cravings: How could I have room to crave anything – I'm eating 3000 calories a day.
Symptoms: More of the same – sinuses and sleepiness. All in all, I can’t complain.

Activities: Another busy week. I feel like I have to take advantage of every moment during my last summer without kids. We finished out the week in Maine. We even got to see Matt, Amanda, John Bryan, and Will since our trips overlapped.
[Jay] Maine??

On Tuesday, I headed to Columbia (South Carolina, not South America) to visit Elizabeth, Jeremiah, Jackson, and Celia. It was a great week of relaxing, swimming, shopping, and visiting.

On Thursday, Jay posted our pregnancy announcement to Facebook. He did an awesome job photo shopping together all the great pics our friend Trey took. Even though a lot of people already knew (especially if they have seen me in the past two weeks), it felt great for everyone to know especially friends we haven’t seen in a while.
[Jay] It should be noted that it was posted at exactly 3:33. Just saying.
On Friday, I had another ultrasound. Jay went with me and we were both amazed at how much they had grown. Our next ultrasound is at 16 weeks with maternal fetal medicine, so we are hoping we find out the sexes at that appointment.
Baby A's Profile (Baby A always seems to be curled up in a ball while the other two are stretched out).

Week 13 Update

Bump: Didn’t take a profile view this week, but the babies are definitely making their presence known.
Cravings: None.
Symptoms: My back is really stiff, especially after flying (we went to Maine, more on that later). I am still pretty sleepy, but that is certainly starting to get better. The other thing is my sinuses are bleeding like crazy and I am constantly congested. All the sniffling has Jay convinced that I'm crying all the time. Also, "pregnancy brain" seems to be a real thing.
[Jay] I can confirm.
Activities: No doctors this week, but I did go to acupuncture on Monday. I have to say again what a blessing Amber has been.  Acupuncture has been a lifesaver during both fertility treatments and pregnancy – she treats all of my symptoms and is making the babies grow!

On Monday night, Dad, Tracy, and Rachel came to Greenville for a visit. We went to dinner and showed Rachel around Greenville a little. It was a great way to start the week!

On Tuesday, I met with my boss to tell her the big news. She was super supportive and open to me having a more flexible schedule during the spring semester. I almost cried when I left her office because I was so relieved and thankful for her support.

On Wednesday night, Jay and I left for Maine (yeah, that Maine) to meet Mom and Steve. Our friends who live in Boston, Aarti, Ryan, and Sula (it was my first time to meet the little doll) joined us for the weekend as well.  It was great to visit with everyone and the views were amazing.
[Jay] Who goes to Maine? Seriously.

The LAST Shot!

Week 12 marked our FINAL shot of progesterone! We are officially pregnant and no longer fertility patients.
Some of our celebratory pictures:

We ended up with stickers for 142 shots/blood draws and 14 estrogen patches when it was all said and done
