ILY & IVF

I found this poem that Jay wrote me before IVF. I just had to share it especially given the prophetic ending :-)

ILY & IVF

 For all kinds of reasons both big and both small,

We’re doing IVF, so we can turn 'us' into 'y'all'.

And though it was never a part of our plan,

we're taking this path so we can add to our clan.

Crazy hormones and long needles don't scare us a bit,

Because of the joy we're both hoping to get.

So to little Jay or little Robin,

We can't wait to see you, or y'all if it's twin.

And it doesn't matter how long this takes,

Because we'll be ready,

with one or two or three birthday cakes.
