Family fun!
It has
been a busy week. After graduating from PREG, Robin headed straight to Atlanta
to work on a research project with the Laurens. The babies got their first
present today from Cade (i.e., Lauren and Trey). On Thursday we headed to Ft.
Walton for the annual Gardennismith 4th of July Bash – 12 adults, 7 kids under
6, one roof. We got to tell all the Gardners and Smiths about the three little
birds. We also got to tell John Bryan (Jay's nephew) we were having a baby, to
which he responded, "today??" A highlight was getting to watch Greg
and Tara's little girl Esther celebrate her first birthday by smashing cake. A
great week indeed
The three little birds' first gift from Baby Cade.
Fourth of July fun with two of our nephews.
Birdy's
Pregnancy Update. Week 9
Bump:
Just a bit of bloating right now.
Cravings: No real cravings, but I have been eating a lot of Asian food (Thai, Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese — Indian especially). So, nothing new.
Symptoms: I've felt amazingly well for my first trimester, and I feel very blessed. Symptoms so far have been crazy cramping (my uterus is stretching x 3), headaches, sore breasts, sore bum (1 1/2" needle shots continue for at least one more week), extreme fatigue (my Expecting Multiples book says you shouldn't work more than 6 hours a day, which is tough for me), and a little nausea. The other scary thing that happened this week is I woke up to a little spotting. Not sure if this is residue from the ultrasound earlier this week or from overdoing it in the pool with the kiddos. Either way, I spent the morning of the 4th in bed.
